Dr Rebecca Phillips
Clinical Psychologist & BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
About me
I am Dr Rebecca Phillips, a Clinical Psychologist based in Hampshire. I offer online and in person therapy in Basingstoke. I have worked within the NHS and charities for the past 10 years with younger people through to older adults.

I currently work in an NHS community setting with adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems. I have provided psychological therapies in various settings, including crisis services and hospitals. I have experience in working with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, low self-esteem, stress and symptoms of trauma.

I work collaboratively with people to understand their difficulties, make sense of their problems, and find a way forward. I tailor support to help people to meet their therapy goals and discover new ways of coping with their difficulties. I am passionate about supporting clients to build a life that is meaningful and worth living, what this involves is always different from one person to another and I adapt my sessions to each person’s individual needs.

I have experience of using a variety of evidence-based psychological therapies. The approaches I use most often are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Outside of therapy, I enjoy going for long dog walks in the countryside and spending time with family and friends. I have grown up in Winchester and after University spent several years living in London. I enjoy visiting to reminisce and take in the city buzz.
